The 36th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Automation Software Engineering (ASE 2021) recently announced its organizing committee list. Dr. Chen Junjie, an associate professor from the College of Intelligence and Computing was appointed as the Review Process Chair.
The ASE conference is the premier research forum for Automated Software Engineering. Each year, it brings together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to discuss foundations, techniques, and tools for automating the analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of large software systems. It was founded in 1986 and now is a top-level conference in the field of software engineering. It is also a Class A conference recommended by the China Computing Federation. In the past 20 years, altogether five mainland scholars have been selected into ASE Organizing Committee, and Dr. Chen Junjie is the youngest.
Dr. Chen Junjie is a tenured associated professor at the College of Intelligence and Computing, Tianjin University. He is also a doctoral supervisor, and the leader of the college’s Software Engineering Team. He received his PhD from Peking University in 2019, and received CCF Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award in the same year. His research interests include compiler testing, intelligent software testing, etc. In the past four years, he has published more than 30 papers, including 20 CCF-A papers. His publications cover all the top conferences and journals in the area of software engineering. He received three distinguished paper awards (including FSE 2020, ASE 2019, and ISSTA 2019). He was Review Process Chair of ASE 2021, guest editor of Journal of Software, PC member of ASE 2021 and ISSTA 2021, and reviewer of TSE, TOSEM, etc. He once received distinguished reviewer award by the Journal of Software.
