On August 26, Su Changjun, who graduated from TJU’s Electronic Science and Technology Department in 2005 announced to give a personal donation of 15 million RMB to the university to set up a Development Fund for Tianjin University’s College of Intelligence and Computing during his visit to TJU as the CEO of Beijing ABT Networks Co., Ltd. (ABT Networks).
“It’s my long time wish to do something for my alma mater to show my gratitude for the great education I received here. Through the fund, I hope to do my bit to help the university cultivate more talents for the society”, Su Changjun said after the donation was made.
TJU president Jin Donghan met with Su and the delegation from his company and expressed his gratitude to Su for his donation. He said that alumni were invaluable resource of the university and played an important role in the university’s development. President Jin also introduced to the delegation about TJU’s efforts in promoting emerging engineering education, especially in advocating the integration of industry and education. “We will take the responsibility and make full use of the university’s intellectual resources to help industries solve bottleneck problems”, Jin said.
During the meeting, the two parties jointly unveiled the Network Security Technology Joint Laboratory, which will serve as a cooperation platform for high-level talent training in relevant fields.
It is reported that ABT Networks is dedicated to the product and technical services of new generation of network application security and data analysis, by focusing on the idea of “SECURITY INSIGHTVALUE EXPERIENCE”. In September 2019, it became China's first Cyber Security company to land on the Sci-tech Innovation Board, and the market value of the listed company exceeded 10 billion yuan. It is a leading practitioner in the world of visualizing network security, pioneering itself in the field of embedded network security system and features library security services in China.
