About Me

I work with information processing and cognitive computing in brain-inspired neuronal networks, trying to reveal and utilize mechanisms how biological systems give rise to various cognitive abilities. My main research topics include synaptic learning in both single and multilayer neural networks, sensory coding, cognitive memory, neural circuits, system modeling, as well as applied development of visual and speech processing systems.

I use analytical and numerical modeling techniques to identify and understand the computational principles underlying spike-based information processing and learning in central nervous systems, and to explore how these principles can be implemented in a form of software or hardware for solving practical problems.
