OUR RESEARCH INTERESTS:

1.视觉认知计算及其可视化分析

本研究方向面向分析和理解人类对于环境视觉认知的策略及其思维过程,属于国内/国际认知科学和人工智能相关研究在当前及很长未来的标志性前沿。研究工作基于眼动跟踪数据的定量化计算和分析,以概率统计与随机过程、信息论及机器学习为基本技术,以汽车驾驶及视觉刺激质量评估为示例,以CAVE等大型虚拟现实设备为实验平台,致力于能够根本性理解环境视觉认知的定量刻画、定量模型以及定量度量等科技问题的深入研究,研究问题本身具有高度的基础性和普适性特点。

2.机器学习、运动轨迹大数据的计算分析

运动轨迹蕴含着速度、加速度、方向等重要的属性信息,是现代社会非常重要且复杂的元数据。对运动轨迹大数据的计算分析,可以应用到车站、街道、机场、港口等各种活动场所,对过往的车辆、行人及其他运动物体进行分析、检测异常等。我们提出了一种基于信息瓶颈的轨迹聚类算法,该方法自底向上,利用了轨迹的角度信息,通过合并轨迹簇,逐步迭代,从而得到轨迹聚类。我们使用信号滤波的方法,提出了对运动轨迹进行摘要总结的新框架。在框架中,轨迹数据通过分组-滤波-合并,可以获得新的摘要轨迹,并进行多次迭代,最终可以获得原始轨迹的精炼总结结果和异常数据。为了提升新框架的异常检测能力,我们采用了三维统计建模方法,通过信息熵工具来找出隐藏在数据中的异常。与此同时,轨迹数据往往会缺失采样点,为了应对这一情况,我们提出了基于相似性的轨迹重建算法,不完整轨迹可以利用完整轨迹的信息修复自身,从而使轨迹数据变得完整。最后,对结果进行可视化展示分析,以便获得更佳直观的理解。

3.可视化计算与分析:

以可视化及可视化计算分析(Visual Analytics)作为完整框架、以人机交互为平台、以算法为基础,结合类脑研究,解决单独依靠算法或单独依靠人均难以解决的复杂问题。可视化计算分析是美国“911”事件发生后,由各个领域专家共同提出的理念,用于应对某些超复杂问题(如发生灾难的分析、判断和预测)。我们依托国家自然基金等项目为资助,在与计算机学院、软件学院海洋学院以及中国民航大学的交流合作下,以视频信息的大数据、运动轨迹大数据和海洋大数据为处理对象,从事相关方面的研究工作,如视频关键帧抽取及其三维体验、运动轨迹大数据计算分析及其可视化、海洋大数据可视化及交互分析等。

4.视频/图像滤波和重建:

视频/图像在摄取及传输过程中不可避免地受到污染和干扰,滤波和重建增强视频/图像质量、为后续处理提供方便。黑天拍摄视频/图像几乎人眼难以辨识,除普通滤波和重建外,还须调整视频/图像亮度及对比度、即色调映射(Tone Mapping)。

虚拟现实包括三维计算机图形技术,各类感官输入输出技术等,是一种通过人机界面对复杂数据进行可视化操作的新的形式,交互性和扩展的人机对话是关键所在。虚拟现实在医学、航天、工业仿真等领域都有着十分重要的现实意义。
