Short Bio:

Zhibin Niu is a Lecturer in College of Intelligence and Computing at Tianjin University. He received his B.Eng. in Automation from Tianjin university and M.Eng. in Pattern Recognition from Shanghai Jiao Tong university, China; Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from Cardiff University, UK. He ever worked as a software engineer at Intel Asia-Pacific Research & Development Ltd, China. He is a recipient of EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship and he was lucky to be guided by Prof. Ralph Martin, Dr. Malcolm Sabin, and Dr.Frank Langbein. As a visiting student, he was also guided by Prof. Sara McMains, Prof. Vadim Shapiro at University of California, Berkeley and Prof. Bert Juttler at Johannes Kepler University.

Niu's research interests include reverse engineering, CAD, feature recognition and visualization. His approach achieves linear performance feature recognition which is state-of-the-art. The relevant paper [3] was listed as Most Downloaded Computer-Aided Design Articles.
