      侯越先,天津大学计算机学院教授,博导,网络智能所主任,国家重点研发计划首席科学家,中国人工智能学会青年工作委员会常委,中国中文信息学会理事,中国计算机学会中文信息技术专委会委员,天津市131人才计划第一层次人选,第8届亚洲信息检索学会会议一般主席(The General Chair of the Eighth Asia Information Retrieval Societies Conference,AIRS2012);主要研究方向:机器学习、量子人工智能、信息检索和自然语言处理;近年来发表论文50余篇,发表源包括TNNLS、TOIS、TIST、TALIP、TNN、TKDE、TIFS、Computational Intelligence、IPM、Entropy、IJCAI、SIGIR、AAAI、ACL、CIKM、ECIR、和ICTIR 等主要国际学术期刊和会议,作为第一作者和通讯作者的论文分别获得ICTIR2011(the 3rd International Conference on the Theory of Information Retrieval)的最佳论文奖(Best Paper Award)和ECIR2011(the 33rd European Conference on Information Retrieval)的最佳短论文奖(Best Poster Award);作为首席科学家或项目负责人承担了多项国家重点研发计划项目、863项目、国家自然科学基金项目、欧盟项目、天津市自然科学基金重点项目、以及与微软亚洲研究院、百度、阿里等公司的合作项目,研究结果已获得三项国家发明专利授权并部分应用于企业产品线。
      Dr. Yuexian Hou is a professor at School of Computer Science and Technology, Tianjin University. He is also the Director of the Institute of Computational Intelligence and Internet Application, Tianjin University. His main research interests include machine learning, information retrieval and natural language processing. He has published more than 50 papers on main international conferences and journals, such as IEEE TNNLS, IEEE TNN, IEEE TKDE, IEEE TIFS, ACM TOIS, ACM TIST, ACM TALIP, Computational Intelligence, IPM, Entropy, IJCAI, SIGIR, AAAI, ACL, CIKM, ECIR, ICTIR and so on. He got the best poster award of ECIR2011 and the best paper award of ICTIR2011. He was the principal investigator of several research projects, such as the state key development program of China, the project of national high-tech research and development program (863 Program), the NSFC project, the EU (European Union) project, the NSFC-RSE international joint research project, MSRA joint project, Baidu project, Ali project and etc. He served as the co-general chair of the Eighth Asia Information Retrieval Societies Conference (AIRS 2012) and the PC member of a series of academic conferences, e.g., ECIR, ICIC and WCICA.
